Culture in the German Colony

The German Colony is in a good location and has charm in it. That is
why people love it very much.
There is a special place in the colony, the Lev Smadar cinema. This is
the most veteran cinema in Jerusalem. It has been operating (working)
since the 50s.
The Chechik family is the owner of the cinema. The cinema is a
homey place and does not have many workers.
In the 50s there is a sale – two movies for one ticket and people spend
many hours at the cinema.
Today as well there are very good movies at the cinema and one can
watch a movie with a cup of coffee or beer in hand.
