The Story of Moshe Barzani and Meir Feinstein

Rachel Kramer was a goody-two-shoes. She was an only daughter in
a distinguished family. Her father was the principal of the Alliance
School. Rachel lived with her family in a distinguished Jerusalem
neighborhood.
One day she met in the house Meir Feinstein. Meir was a young and
handsome man who was born in the Old City and lived there with his
family, a rich family of merchants. In the 40s of the twentieth
century, when there started to arrive news about the Holocaust in
Europe, the young Meir faked his age and was drafted into the
British army. He served in the army for two and a half years and
received a certificate of excellence from the
kingdom of England. When he returned to Israel he joined the
underground movement "Etzel" – an underground movement that
decided to evict the British from Israel.
After the meeting with the beautiful red-headed Rachel, Rachel also
turned into an activist in Etzel, and simultaneously with the activity
in the underground movement, the love between Rachel and Meir
blossomed. The revolt against the British got stronger and stronger
and on the day of October 31st, 1946, Meir and three of his friends
went out to the train station of Jerusalem in order to blow it up.
Someone informed on the group. The English waited for them and in
the battle that started on the spot, Meir's hand was injured and
completely smashed. He remained one-armed. With intense effort,
the injured Meir managed to crawl until the neighborhood of Yemin
