The Bridge and Peace Monument

Yigal Tomarkin built this statue in 1966 at a symbolic location - the place
where the border between Israel and Jordan passed.
The statue symbolizes hope for coexistence.
The statue has two motifs:
War and work - the metal tools.
Construction and peace - the stone.
On the statue there is also writing, both in Hebrew and Arabic.
At the fountain near the statue one can really see coexistence: Jewish and
Muslim children swim at the fountain! Maybe this is the real coexistence?
