Congratulations Harry
Supposedly, this is a story about a man offering his girlfriend to spend a
life together, but actually, the story of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is
much more than that. It teaches us, for instance, about the difference in
perception regarding divorce. In two thousand seventeen Harry, a son of
divorced parents himself, received a ‘Godspeed’ blessing from the Queen
and head of the English Church to marry Markle, also divorced and an
American. This is also a story about growing up; about a boy who lost his
mother in a horrific car accident at a young age, had psychological
treatments since then, grew up in the shadow of his big brother who will
also inherit the thrown, and was known as the family’s “bad boy”. Over
the years, he became more moderate and mature, took on responsibilities
and obligations, enlisted to the army in a fighting position and initiated the
Invictus competitions for injured soldiers, which have already become a
big international event. But recently it was clear that something changed,
and this is where Meghan Markle, an American actress and social activist,
came in. And this is also, maybe mostly, a story about an institution
hundreds of years old, being able to stay relevant despite it all. Fortunately
for the happy couple, many upheavals occurred in the world in the past
century, so they no longer have to choose between love and family, and
could this way live happily ever after together in the palace in London.
