The World Cup in Russia

For the first time Russia hosts the World Cup, and celebrates along with fans from all over the
world who came to watch the games and take part in the party. Without politics and without Syria,
just sports. The Russians’ goal is to show the United States, England and the whole world that they
too can be like everyone else, and even more. This costs Putin and the oligarchs fifteen billion
dollars, which is a lot, but less that the Winter Olympics in Sochi. The celebrations in Russia will
continue for the next month, not necessarily for the Russian team as well.
