Binyan Pa'al – Group 2

Future Tense

In Pa’al 2 we omit the infinitive form prefix ָל, while maintaining

the sound pattern of the infinitive form

…A…(vowel = OU, EE, O)…

Instead of the ָל we use prefixes corresponding to the pronouns.

As an example let’s use the verb:

to live / to reside – רוּגָל

רוּג ָ ← רוּג ָל

Pronoun 
Prefix ָנ ← וּנח א ַנ ְ ָי ← א ה וּ ָ ת ← אי ִה/ה ָ ת א ָ א ← ינ ֲא ִ

רוּג + ָנ רוּג + ָי רוּג + ָ ת רוּג + ָ א
Prefix 
רוּג ָנ רוּג ָי רוּג ָ ת רוּג ָ א

Now we will also need to add the corresponding suffixes:

Pronoun  וּ+ָי ← ם ֵה וּ +ת ָ ← ם ת א י+ת ָ ← ת א ְ
