Jerusalem Day
This year in Jerusalem (we) celebrate fifty years to the unification of the
city. On Jerusalem Day tens of thousands people, mostly members of
religious Zionism, came to the dance of flags, in which (they) walk in song
and dance up to the Wall through the different gates. The police hoped
there wouldn’t be any problems with the Arabs who live in the east of the
city, and that everything will go through in peace. Asides from the dance
of flags, there were also ceremonies in different places in the city where
(they) talked about the Six Day War and told stories of Jerusalem. At the
Knesset, the Prime Minister talked about Jerusalem and said that it will
always be Israel’s capital.
