"What's the worse that can happen?!" Benny growled, "Do you know what
would happen if the clothes shrink, get dyed, or just remain dirty? Do you

have any idea how she'll react?"
"Who, the machine?"

"Between us? a woman is like a washing machine. She has very clear

operating programs, except you never know which program to use, and
furthermore, you can never know what the outcome is going to be. No
matter how hard you try, it will end up in tears and you'll have to call in a

plumber, and even then you'll have a mark (stain) left on you. Not to

mention they're both quite the extortionists".
Benny tightened his lips and fell silent. I saw nothing but white circles of

laundry detergent.
"Listen" I said, "Why don't you talk to Sarit about this?"

"I did" he said with despair, "I explained everything to her. What I think,
what I feel, I told her about all of the frustrations I have with the washing

machine".
"So?" I asked, "And what did she say?" Benny took a deep breathe. "She" he

whispered, "She said that I'm a drier".
