ADV Level – Graffiti in Tel Aviv
The Artist of Emotion
Latzi (pseudonym) is a
street artist who maintains
her anonymity in order to
allow herself artistic
freedom. She does not
paint in central places, but
on side streets, so nobody
sees her and she can work at her own pace. To find her work, one has
to stray from the main streets and enter narrow alleyways. In many of
her works one can see human figures hiding their faces, as if they too,
like her, choose to remain anonymous.
Latzi does not repeat her paintings in different places - each piece is
one and only but it is possible to identify her special style. All her
creations have something in common – all of them show human
figures expressing emotions. She brings viewers into an emotional
world, and each painting evokes different thoughts and feelings.
Everything is open to interpretation, and everyone can think of a story
of their own.
