Making Aliyah from Yemen

After a long journey that lasted over a year the new immigrants from Yemen arrived in Israel this
morning, and hugged their family members who were waiting for them at the absorption center in
Be’er Sheva. There are seventeen people in the small group of Olim, the last of the Raydah
community near Sana’a, headed by Rabbi Sleiman Dahari. These are children, women and men,
kids and adults, who left everything and came to Israel just with an ancient book of Torah, eight
hundred years old. Today they got their ID cards, and they’re getting used to (their) new lives in
Be’er Sheva with the help of many people. Let’s hope that there will be (those) who will listen to
them in a few weeks as well.
