Farewell Philip
Nobody understood what was going on at Buckingham Palace when
everyone met in the middle of the night. Everyone thought that something
happened to Queen Elizabeth, but really everything is fine with her. Prince
Philip invited everyone for a meeting in order to say that he’s retiring at
the age of ninety five. Philip and Elizabeth (have been) married for
seventy years. Philip came to the UK from Greece, and they met when she
was thirteen years old. Philip decided that he wants to rest for a bit, and
leave before it’s physically hard for him. Just in the past year Philip
attended two hundred and nineteen events, more than William, Kate and
Harry combined, so (you) can understand why he wants to retire. It also
reminds us that princes are people too.
