The Templers

The Templers built the German Colony. The Templers were
Christians from Germany who thought that redemption would
come if they help to build the Land of Israel. They built a few
colonies in Israel, in Jerusalem (The German Colony) and in the
north near Haifa. They also built establishments in Jaffa and Tel
Aviv.
The colonies of the Templers are built like a German village,
with many trees and small, simple two-floor houses.
In the Second World War the Templers wanted to help Hitler
and the British expelled them to Italy.
