                       The New President

To the tune of I did it My Way, President Trump danced with First Lady
Melania at the first ball, and in two more after that. A crowded, eventful
evening, some of which are symbolic and some practical, and over all of
them the world is looking in wonder, surprised, preparing and setting up.
But what’s important is what happened in the Oval Office, after he sat
down at the desk for the first time. And more important is the first
executive order presented to him by the new Chief of Staff. It isn’t a
cancelation of the healthcare law, but it is an order that instructs the federal
government to stop enforcing and implementing it. And notice the décor, it
usually takes presidents in the United States months to redesign the Oval
Office to their liking. Trump, in the spirit of the inauguration address,
didn’t wait. The violent demonstrations continued even when at the balls
(people) were dancing and shaking champagne glasses. Two hundred
people were arrested several blocks from the White House. And there was
also one gesture, surprising and unusual, to Hillary at the Congress’ festive
dinner. Trump placed the bar of expectations from him sky-high, and
sounds like a sheriff coming to put things to order. This sheriff and his
deputy will rest tomorrow from all this photographed rollercoaster, and on
Monday, the first full workday, anything can happen.
