Binyan Nif’al - Introduction
In Binyan ְפ ַעל ִנ we have some distinct characteristics:
1) The infinitive form usually begins with ִהְל and has three syllables and
the sound is *L'HI...A...E... - ה ל
Example:
To enter - סֵנָכ ִהְל
It is possible to write either סֵנָכ ִהְל or סֵנָכי ִהְל and likewise with other
verbs in this group.
* Please note that for verbs that start with with a guttural letter the
sound pattern is slightly different .
The sound pattern is L'HE...A...E...
Instead of L'HI...A...E... as in the following verb:
To f all asleep - ם ֵדר ֵ ה ָ ְל
