Give and Take
Yonatan, who moved to the Florentin neighborhood in Tel Aviv, needs some tools. But he doesn’t
need to ask a friend or his wife’s father. As of today, he can take what he needs from the
neighborhood’s community center. The Tel Aviv municipality thought of (this) new project, which
can help people save money, clear space in the city’s small apartments, protect the environment and
help people get to know their neighbors a little better. Anyone who takes a product from the center has
to pay a symbolic price of ten NIS, and of course bring the product back in good condition. If the project
succeeds it will spread to other cities too.
