The Semiramis Hotel Bombing

In 1947 around the Arab Katamon neighborhood, there are Jewish
neighborhoods. The Arab soldiers fire at the neighborhoods day
and night.
The Haganah wants to help the Jewish neighborhoods and hurt
the Arabs’ commanders.
The Haganah’s soldiers see commander Al-Houseiny’s Jeep near
Hotel Semiramis in Katamon and realize that that’s where he
sleeps. They come to the hotel at night and place bombs. The
explosion is very powerful and 26 people die.
The British are very angry because they realize that Al-Houseiny
isn’t at the hotel at the time of the bombing. When Ben-Gurion
hears about it, he’s angry too and fires the commanders of the
Haganah.
The hotel isn’t rebuilt after the explosion, and today there’s a
house there and people live in it.
