The San Simon Monastery

(They) build the monastery in the 19th century and name it after
saint Simeon of the New Testament. The Christians believe that
that’s where his grave is.
Above the monastery’s door are drawings that tell how (they)
build the monastery.
Greek Orthodox believers come to the monastery, and sick
children live in it.
Today one monk lives in the monastery and every week monks
from other places in Jerusalem come to pray with him.
