What’s in our Trash?
Every day we make thousands of tons of trash. A few years ago (they) used to put all this trash on a
mountain, later they decided to put the trash under the ground, but a new plant changes things. This
is a plant that can take our trash, mostly nylon and (plastic) bags, and turn it into fuel. The question
is do we still need to separate the trash, if eventually everything goes to the same place? Ron
Huldai, the mayor of Tel Aviv, says we don’t. Most of Israel’s trash is still under the ground, and
everyone understands (we) need to think of more ways in which to recycle it.
