Future Tense

Future tense is sometimes called "The Prefix Tense" since the
conjugation of verbs in the future tense is done by adding prefixes to the
verb root letters used with the respective pronouns. For certain pronouns
there is an addition of suffixes as well.

Future tense: General structure

‫ֲא ַנחנּו‬  ‫ ִהיא הּוא‬/‫ֲא ִני ַא ָּתה‬

 ...‫ נ‬...‫ י‬...‫ ת‬...‫א‬

‫ַאת ַא ֶתם ֵהם‬

‫ ּו‬... ‫י‬   ‫ ּו‬... ‫ י ת‬... ‫ת‬

           *‫ ֵה ָּנה‬,*‫ ֵהן‬,*‫ַא ֶתן‬

                ‫ נה‬.... ‫ת‬

*In Modern Hebrew the plural feminine ‫ ַא ֶתן‬is usually conjugated

similarly as the plural masculine ‫ַא ֶתם‬

*In Modern Hebrew the plural feminine ‫ ֵהן‬or ‫ ֵה ָּנה‬is usually

conjugated similarly as the plural masculine ‫ֵהם‬

* In Biblical Hebrew a lot of time ‫ ֵה ָּנה‬will be used instead of ‫ֵהן‬
