Rescuing the Dead Sea
A week ago fifteen people get into Mineral Beach at the Dead Sea. They come in order to be
photographed naked for a project by photographer Spencer Tunick. In two thousand and one Tunick
comes to Israel and photographs for a project that wants to rescue the Dead Sea. Now Tunick
returns to photograph at the same beach, which is now closed because of sinkholes. Spencer Tunick
is a photographer as well as a social activist. His photographs talk of the environment and politics.
In Israel there’s an exhibition of his photographs at a gallery in Tel Aviv.
