Therapeutic Uses of CCBs

 Prophylaxis of angina (2nd line in classical angina e.g.: if asthmatic patient with
angina while 1st line in Prinzmetal angina)

➢ Verapamil is preferred CCBs (resemble BBs)
➢ Amlodipine is the 2nd preferred CCBs than nifedipine as long-acting preparation

produced less tachycardia
 Post MI (Secondary prevention)
 Antihypertensives
