➢ Verapamil shows greater action on the heart than on vascular smooth muscle, and
diltiazem is intermediate in its actions.

➢ Prolong AV nodal conduction time and effective refractory period
➢ Decrease rate of phase 4 spontaneous depolarization.

➢ Supraventricular tachycardia is the major arrhythmia
