Venturing out and exploring their world is an integral part
of our students’ learning journeys, and 2022 offered many
opportunities to our Junior School students to experience
learning beyond the classroom. They are also marvellous
opportunities to bring the students from both Junior
campuses together for these excursions.
In June, Stage 2 students had a great History and
Geography excursion to Penrith Lakes, and in September,
our Stage 1 children visited Featherdale Wildlife Park
- always a popular excursion for our Early Learning
students.
In October, Stage 2 students visited the Hyde Park
Barracks to support their learning in History. Finally,
in November, Stage 2 students were off to the Royal
Botanical Gardens for a “First Encounters” excursion,
to learn what life was like for the local Aboriginal people
before the British arrived in 1788.
