JUNIOR SCHOOL HOSTS INTERSCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVAL
JUNIOR SCHOOL HOSTS INTERSCHOOL CR OSS COUNTRY CARNIV AL
In May, the Junior School hosted the HICES Cross Country
Carnival on our School grounds that are perfectly suited to the
sport of cross country running.
Given the 2019 event had been yet another cancellation
during the pandemic, this year’s Carnival proceeded in a festive
atmosphere, with students from all nine participating schools
enjoying the opportunity to once again meet and test themselves
in true competition.
Coorah Hill proved quite the challenge for many a runner. Our
team of runners performed extremely well and utilised their
home ground advantage to great effect. Whilst there were some
outstanding individual performances, the team as a whole should
be very proud of itself for competing so well for a school of our
size. Our Juniors performed so well, that we were awarded the
Division 2 Percentage Shield for the third successive year!
Left: Proudly receiving the Shield were two of our four Cross Country Captains,
Keeden Harrison and Jessica Crambrook.
