2) Action verbs
Action verb is a type of verb to express an action or
activity that appears and can be seen by other people.
Action verbs are commonly used in narrative texts to
tell chronologically what events and activities are
carried out by the characters in the story. Action verbs
are verbs to express something that can be done by a
person, animal, object, or natural force. Example: sent,
killed, hit, went, lost, saw etc.
3) Conjunctions of Time
Because narrative text is a story in chronological form, it uses the conjunction of time
to connect the flow of each different time setting, simply to sequence events.
Conjunction of time is a conjunction to show a description of time. Examples are
before, after, as soon as, until, till, long ago, and many more.
4) Adjectives
Usually, in narrative texts, these adjectives serve
to describe or explain the specific characteristics
of each character mentioned in the story. For
example, Aladdin is a poor man, Cinderella is a
beautiful girl.
5) Nouns
Furthermore, in narrative texts we will often find
nouns as pronouns for certain people, animals or
things. For example, there is a narrative text that tells about Queen Elizabeth or
about King William.
