firmness in carrying out ‘his’ obligations as well as distancing
‘himself’ from the prohibitions of All�h and is not permitted to be
despondent of ‘His’ mercy. If All�h predestines an illness to be
more serious and difficult for ‘him’ to expect recovery, then when
‘he’ is compelled, ‘he’ may perform dufi�√ according to that which
was taught by the Prophet . ‘He’ said:

﴾“Do not any one amongst you hope for death because of a
disadvantage that befalls ‘him’. Indeed if ‘he’ truly feels the need
for hope, then let it be that ‘he’ say: ‘O All�h, give me life whilst
life is good for me, and bring death upon me when death is good
for me”.﴿

May it be that All�h lightens the calamities that befall us,
makes our affairs easy, cures our illnesses and the illnesses of our
brothers Muslims. ◊mın.
