Music by Dive The Tower “New Love vs. Old Habits”
Lately I have been on a personal music mission. As a music lover who came of age in the 70’s, I have varied
tastes but am clearly a child of rock. So, I recruited my lovely daughter Brittany (a music lover who came of age
in the 2010’s) to help me find a new, standout rock band, as I wanted the perspectives to be from different
generations. I also wanted to confirm that rock is still valued in the modern era of music. After all, rumors of the
genre’s demise have been ongoing for years. I am of the mindset that rock is not dying. To the contrary, I actually
feel there is a resurgence of interest. I, personally, know of multiple young, thriving rock bands all across this
country. When I say young, I mean “teens” – and the ones I’ve heard mix very well with the seasoned veterans
of rock.
