Kiki Plesha: Thanks for talking with me today. Let’s get right to it.
Summarize for me...what is IndieCast TV?

promote IndieCast TV to their fans. Fans will support these great artists
by tuning in and voting (each view counts as a vote). The final piece of the circle is our sponsors. They are the
financial backbone to this team as our sponsors make this all possible. So, when our artists or viewers need
products and services, it makes sense that they will purchase the things they need from our sponsors. This
will create a winning combination for everyone! The IndieCast TV team has spent a significant amount of time
researching and looking at numerous other companies that cater to indie artists as well as talking to the artists
themselves. The main issue we have all found is that most platforms don’t pay the artists anything for the
content that the artists are providing. In fact, many platforms charge artists to submit their music. Even the
platforms that do pay, make it very complicated to get music into their systems -- and pay artists amounts
that are barely measurable unless they are getting millions of views. IndieCast TV will never charge an artist
to submit their music and we only accept the videos that meet our standards, giving our fans and viewers a
great experience and a reason to come back again and again. And this is just the beginning.
KP: What inspired you to create this platform?
ICTV: It’s kind of an interesting story. The IndieCast TV team is comprised of people with backgrounds in music,
radio, and television. We have launched different music platforms over the years with various monetization
models -- artist supported, sponsor supported, etc. Our challenge was, like with most media businesses…if
you’re not the first one at the table, you’re playing catch up. Over the summer I was speaking to a friend of
mine who has also been in the TV industry for some time. When I told him what we were working on, he said
to me, ‘There are so many platforms catering to indie artists, but if you can figure out a way to pay artists,
you will have something that can really take off.’ It made sense to us. So, we spent the next 6 months creating
IndieCast TV.
