ICTV: That was the next big hurdle…how do we pay artists? We pondered
this for quite some time. Since we are funding the initial launch ourselves, “As our viewership

cents. So, the more plays the artist receives and the higher up on the chart
they get, the more money they make.
KP: 25 cents a play for a popular artist can really turn into something significant. Other platforms are only
paying fractions of a penny per play.
ICTV: Now, 25 cents per view is our initial offer. As our viewership increases, so will our ad revenue. The plan is
that as revenues increase, the amount per play will increase as well. In other words -- the better we do, the
better the artists do as well.
KP: So, you mentioned that was Phase One. Are there future phases that will give artists more opportunities
to earn revenue?
ICTV: Yes. Phase Two will bring monetization of the video library views. This is similar to what other internet
platforms are doing. We will be selling 15-second pre-roll ads at an introductory offer of 5 cents each.
Advertisers can set their budget as well as geo-target their ads.
KP: Geo-target their ads?
ICTV: Yes. Let’s say you’re a club located in New York City. You can determine who will see your ad based on the
geographical location of the viewer. Obviously, someone watching in Chicago would not be interested in going
clubbing in New York City, but someone in New Jersey or New York would. So, you can geo-target your ad to
only be seen where your potential customers are…which means no wasted views.
KP: So how does an artist on IndieCast TV benefit?
ICTV: Each time a pre-roll ad runs on an artist’s video, we split that nickel 50/50 with that artist.
KP: Wow…that can really add up.
“Our plan is to entertain, educate, ICTV: Yes, it can. For example, for every one-thousand times an ad runs
