SR: I have seen a lot of bands that have come here over and over again. I think that says a lot about
the people that work here and the fans that keep coming through these doors that make an artist
feel like this is their second home.
KZ: We have built relationships and give a hospitality that makes bands want to keep coming back. Like
Tech 9, that can sell-out The Fillmore which is a 2000-cap room any night of the week, but he keeps
coming back. Or like Highly Suspect…we love that band and they love this club and we tend to see them
at least once a year.
SR: I have enjoyed many shows here and can’t wait to see many more. What does the future hold
for The Black Sheep?
KZ: We have held the reign of the ‘Top Small Venue’ in the Springs for years. There are a lot of cool
spots in this city, but we bring great talent to a ‘B-market’ city. It is insane that we keep getting the level
of talent that we do. We have a lot of exciting cool things coming up in the future. We just love
supporting this city.
SR: Well, thank you for your time and for all the great shows that you have helped bring to this town.
And, thank you for being a place where a local band or independent artist can come and share their
talents.
KZ: Absolutely! And thank you!
