“This is for the Ugly and The Gifted”

reads Cash Lansky’s Instagram. There are many hip hop/rap
artists on this planet, but there is only one Cash Lansky. With
4 albums and numerous music videos under his belt, this
Arizona music artist is more than ready to set the music
world on fire.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Lansky is an independent recording
artist residing in his current home of Tucson, Arizona. His music boasts
a unique style of social political undertones and is filled with hope and
change, and at the same time, never loses the music in his message.
When an underground artist is making this much noise, even I can’t
ignore his artistic message.

So, my short journey with Lansky began on September 14th when I attended
one of his live performances at Solar Culture Gallery venue. What I admired
about him was how genuine he was. With confidence and a boss-like attitude,
he had his audience at full attention. I watched him perform from the back of
the stage and although a short set, it was a full-on energy explosion. I could
tell right off that he was connecting with his fans on every song.

On the flip side, I spent part of a Sunday morning learning even more about Lansky. I did a
short promo shoot with him and that's when I learned who he really was. Everything he
shared with me was from his heart. Such a respectful and loving family man. We talked
about everything under the sun. We had good laughs and at times we talked about some
serious issues. After my conversation with him, I still had many more questions. So, I
compiled the most obvious questions that I thought the ION Indie Magazine audience may
have asked themselves. So, goes Cash Lansky…
