MH: And for those who haven't seen you live before, what can they expect from
your shows?

AD: My solo acoustic shows are a great chance to get to know me and my music.
These settings are a great opportunity to tell the story behind the songs or even the
story behind why I’m playing certain cover songs. My full-band shows are high energy
and a hell of a good party! I think any fan of country music would appreciate both
settings.

MH: If you could go open a show for any artist, who would it be?

AD: I swear I would say this even if he wasn’t the biggest in the world right now, but
Morgan Wallen. For years I have been watching him and always thought he and his
crew looked a lot like me and my friends. I think musically we would mesh well
together, and I think his crew and mine would all have a great time on the road.

MH: What advice would you give bands following your footsteps?

AD: I know social media is super lame, but it can change your life. Try different things
until something sticks, then push it and use it to promote yourself. It hasn’t just taken
me to the next level, it’s taken me at least 5-6 levels beyond where I was before. From
there, meet as many people as you can and take all the opportunities you can get!

MH: Where do you see yourself in the next few years? What's next for Austin
Dixon?

AD: At a minimum, in a supporting slot on tour with a major artist. At a maximum, I AM
the major artist! Ha, ha, ha!

MH: Austin, thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to work with
you on this interview you. What message do you have for your fans and friends?

AD: Thank you all so much for your support thus far. Let’s blow this EP up when it
comes out this summer!
