"Shake your money maker!" …
that's what Ronald Isley, vocalist and founding member of The Isley Brothers told his
audience towards the end of the legendary rock and funk band's 16-song set at AVA
Amphitheater during their stop-off in Tucson on Saturday, June 10th. It was an electrifying
evening with The Commodores and The Isley Brothers, who are still going strong – 64 years
for The Isley Brothers and 50 years for The Commodores, if you are counting. Even though
there’s been quite a few member changes for both groups
throughout their rich musical history, the music remains the
same. Sweet, sexy, soul permeated the amphitheater air
tonight, prompting non-stop, spontaneous dancing throughout
the appreciative audience. There was a party goin’ on in here!
