Kenny Garrett delivered the music the supporters came to hear; always full of passion and

giving his soul to each song. Many jazz performers will explore an extended solo, but
Garrett takes you places – and the longer he takes it, the deeper he pulls you into his music
and builds to a climax together with his band that is beyond intense. He puts so much into
his phrases, his saxophone seems to be an extension of his voice, of his soul. It’s rare to
encounter a jazz performer who not only packs so much musicality into their expression,
but also their energy and their feeling.
