Jamie has played several times at New Orleans’ famed Jazz Fest, several
times with Paul Sanchez and Minimum Rage. She has opened for Roxie
Watson, Dilana, Grayson Capps, and Sunpie Barnes. She has also played a
tailgate party with 12 Stones. Jamie has obtained success with her original
work as her album “Storm Coming” charted on the Roots Music Report right
alongside Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart. She was also nominated in 2016 for
Offbeat Magazine’s “Best Emerging Artist.” Well, Jamie has emerged. Suffice
to say…this lady has chops!
Everything I have listened to from Jamie Lynn Vessels has totally rocked.
Please do not take my word for it though. Check out her YouTube video “Storm
Coming” …and then get back to me. I’m already smiling knowing what you are
about to witness and hear. I hate to say it (not really) but I told ya so!
Let me assure you of this…Jamie is a storm coming herself. She not only has
the ability to write and play soul-catching, bone-shaking, rocksy blues songs,
but has the powerhouse vocals to back it up. She is taking her show on the
road and envisions herself (as do I) as having a solid presence at rock and
blues festivals in the United States and also Europe. In the meantime, if you
get down NOLA way feel free to overindulge. But also seek out the
underground rock scene where you will find the most amazing, powerful
female lead in the United States. She has what it takes: passion, talent,
presence, and chops. Oh, there IS a storm coming…and its name is Jamie
Lynn Vessels. It’s rolling in from the gritty and glamorous streets of New
Orleans straight to your ears.
