What is this magic, this aura, this vibe, that emanates from Emily Cole? She has a vibrant soul that shines
as much as her multi-colored hair; an authentic person who is firmly grounded on her mission to bring joy
and happiness to her many fans. Emily is many things…she is a singer/songwriter, a duo, and a full band.
She is pop. She is indie rock. She is extremely talented. You could say that Emily Cole is the “full-package.”
And that is also why Emily Cole is our ION Indie Magazine ReverbNation Featured Artist!

Emily resides in the Houston, Texas area, but plays all over the country. I was lucky enough to catch her
live in Colorado Springs last summer. I watched her solo performance and was amazed at how the fans
warmed up to her. The people I spoke to about her all pretty much said the same thing; “Wow! She can
sing and play, but she is also such a sweet person!” In my opinion, she is a shining light example of how
performers (and people in general) should be.

Although I am not personally a big fan of awards, Emily has won plenty – which demonstrates that plenty
of people recognize her stellar talent and her strong songwriting ability. Emily also plays the guitar, ukulele,
and keys. She has performed at NAMM and NOLA’s Cutting Edge Music Conference. Also, she has
travelled to Hollywood to play at the historic Roxy Theatre. She will be playing in Austin during music week
in March where I will be able to watch her once again.

Emily Cole started her career at a young age and is self-taught. She attended a songwriting camp at the
age of 12. By 15, she was releasing her debut self-titled album “Emily Cole.” Although she lists Miley Cyrus
(as Hannah Montana) as an early musical influence, her tastes have greatly matured and are much more
defined. She has grown to like Billie Eilish, Melanie Martinez, and Bea Miller. She loves the aforementioned
artists' uniqueness. Her most recent release is a track fittingly called “Karma.” This single has garnered her
a lot of attention in the pop genre. She is currently co-writing and gearing up to release some new highly
anticipated music soon. In fact, her new single “Unnerving” will release on 2/22/20. Understanding Emily, I
am sure the 2/22 number sequence is of significance.

As would be expected with her compassionate nature, Emily Cole is an advocate for charities that help
children suffering from cancer. She often visits the Texas Children’s Hospital to perform for the stricken and
their families. She is also involved with at-risk youth organizations and charities. This says a lot about a
young lady who works hard building her career and still finds time to accomplish good things. I consider her
a human angel with a guitar. She radiates good vibes in her actions and within her performances.

A lot of people and performers these days are not genuine, unfortunately. I tend to gravitate towards the
ones that are not carbon copies of everyone else. Emily definitely fits that role as she carries herself with
grace, compassion, and kindness. That aura surrounds her on stage and must be truly experienced live to
appreciate it. I will get to catch her at The Austin Winery on Wednesday, March 18th at 6:00 p.m. If you are
in the Austin area or are planning to visit that one particularly huge independent music festival (SXSW),
check her out. Then talk to her for a bit. You will be truly enlightened and entertained while you absorb that
           light-filled energy.
