My Friday evening found me at the Yamaha Sinbad
Main Stage, where thousands of passionate
music fans, dealer/reps, industry officials, and
media representatives gathered to experience
the third annual “Yamaha All-Star Concert on
the Grand,” produced by Yamaha
Entertainment Group. This year’s blockbuster
concert performances were by the legendary
Earth, Wind & Fire, along with Kenny Loggins,
Avery*Sunshine, Mr. Talkbox, Sheléa Frazier,
and Verbal Ase. Once again, comedian
Sinbad, brought his wonderful humor to the
stage as he emceed the event. First to perform
was Beatbox entertainer Verbal Ase, who
expertly warmed up the massive crowd. Next
up was Grammy winner Mr. Talkbox, who
performed his number one charting tune,
“Funkadelic Sound," “24K Magic,” “Daft Funk.”

Avery*Sunshine
Next to the stage was R&B and gospel
singer Avery*Sunshine, who had the
audience charmed with “I Just Don’t Know”
and “Won’t You Try Love.”

Sheléa Frazier

Singer, songwriter, keyboardist Sheléa
Frazier was the next performer. She delivered
a soulful medley tribute of favorite Aretha
Franklin songs, including “Natural Woman,”
“Until You Come Back to Me,” and
“RESPECT.”
