Setting Time Test
The initial setting time is defined as the length of time between the preparation
of the paste and the time when the distance between needle and base plate is
5±1 mm. The final setting time is defined as the length of time between the
preparation of the paste and the time when the needle no longer sinks visibly
into the paste
Soundness Test
Soundness is defined as the volume stability of the cement paste. The cement
paste should not undergo large volume changes after it has set. However, when
