Dutch Military Aggression II was a massive

attack launched by the Netherlands against

the Republic of Indonesia at the end of 1948.

Political tensions in Indonesia such as the PKI

Madiun rebellion and the failure of the

Renville Agreement were used by the Dutch to

recolonize. On December 19, 1948, the Dutch

attacked Yogyakarta, starting from Maguwo

Airfield, which fell at 08.00 WIB. Dutch

troops then controlled the city, including the
