     Process
1. The ePMO identifies a project manager and steering committee and a kick-off meeting is held
2. The ePMO adds the project to the project register and enters the project into KeyedIn
3. The project size and governance structure is confirmed and governance groups are formed
4. The project manager, in conjunction with key stakeholders, completes the project charter detailing project scope, key stakeholders and success criteria. Identifying all stakeholders during this phase is key to the further success of the project. Various tools can be used in this process to help in defining how each stakeholder should be managed
5. The project manager creates a project SharePoint site
6. Complete a high level resource estimate
7. A cost assessment is completed
8. A compliance assessment is carried out to determine the business processes that will be impacted by the project. For example, is it a GMP change? Will it require involvement from Legal?
9. A project communication brief is created by the project manager, which summarises the project and that can
be used as a communication tool throughout the project life cycle
10. On completion of the deliverables for the identification stage gate, the steering committee decides whether the project is ready for CRB review and approval to proceed to the next stage gate

11. The ePMO requests time within the CRB meeting for project review
12. The project sponsor and VP GBC present to the CRB
13. The CRB considers the updated project details and
makes one of the following decisions:
• Proceed to ‘planning phase’
• Request reworking of the project, if more information is required
• Place the proposal on hold
• Reject the proposal
