1. Lay the two working ends together and tie an overhand. That’s
                   all there is to it. The key point is the knot must be snugged very
                   tightly from both sides. And leave tails at least 9 inches long.










                   2. when ropes are different diameters, the thinner line should be
                   on the bottom.












                   3. Finished flat overhand bend.
