     Increase patient engagement with their condition and medicines,
     Reduce medicines wastage;
     Reduce hospital admissions
     Reduce costs (save money)
     Lead to increased yellow card reporting (improved pharmacovigilance)…next lecture

     Improve the evidence base on the effectiveness of the service
     Support the development of outcome and/or quality measures for community pharmacy.

Barriers to service implementation

     Low consumer awareness of existing services (and expectations)
     Lack of time (pharmacy workforce)
     Lack of resources ( contractor and commissioning constraints)
     Lack of self-confidence on the part of pharmacists (lack of skills)
     GPs (physicians) show low engagement in the process .(perception of other health
     professionals)
     Structural barriers (e.g, lack of a private counseling area).

Facilitators for community Pharmacy services

     Cooperation between pharmacists and GPs
     Reimbursement
     Private area within the pharmacy and time
     Patient's expectation that the pharmacy delivers a certain service
     Sufficient and skilled staff (certificates)
     As well as external support for them (government, NHS, MOH..)
