                       Hyperphosphataemia in patients who are unable to excrete phosphate
                        adequately
                       Rectal injury caused by the enema tip and the damage exacerbated by the
                        phosphate solution
                        Renal failure in patients with renal impairment and reduced renal clearance

                   Contraindications for Sodium Biphosphate and Sodium
                   Phosphate

                    Kidney disease
                    Congestive heart failure
                    Patients on a sodium restricted diet
                    Electrolyte imbalance
                    Should not be used in CHILDREN younger than 2 years old
                    FDA pregnancy category C
                   Dehydration

                   Enema Administration Guidelines

                       Position: Left lateral position
                        Massaging the abdomen
                        Use unchlorinated water at body temperature
