Uses:
• Suspending agent, binder in tablet, in cosmetics.
• Tragacanth solutions are highly viscous with a very long shelf life without loss
of viscosity.
• A component of denture adhesives.
• Acts as emollient and demulcent
• Preferred in highly acidic conditions as it is highly resistant to acids.
