Types of Chemical markers
• The palisade ratio of many plants remains constant
regardless of geographical location of the plant.
Stomatal index
• Stomatal index is the percentage which the number of
stomata form to the total number of epidermal cells, each
stoma being counted as one cell. Stomatal index can be
calculated by using the following equation:
