Introduction-Terminology
Therapeutic Value of Herbal Drug:
❑ The therapeutic value of the herbal drug is determined by calculating the
concentration of the therapeutically active constituents present in the drug
at the time of administration. Accordingly, evaluation or assessment of drugs
is performed to judge their quality and purity.
Quality Control:
❑ Quality control is a term that refers to processes involved in maintaining the
quality and validity of a manufactured product.
