• Taxus brevifolia is a small, slow-growing tree in the Pacific
North West region of the United States and Canada.
• Great concern was expressed as to how it would be possible
to obtain sufficient of the taxol to meet the clinical demand
without wiping out the populations of T. brevifolia.
