Photosynthesis, glycolysis and Krebs
cycle are energy-generating processes.
In addition, these processes together
with the other basic metabolic PWs
provide biosynthetic intermediates
necessary for the formation of the
constructing units, or building blocks,
for secondary metabolites formation.
