(C) IRON IN WATER
* SOURCES :
- Iron salts are added to water samples as flocculating
agents to remove suspended matters from water during
purification processes.
The maximum permissible iron conc. in public waters
is 0.2 mg/l. Higher conc. must be removed as it may
cause unaccepted taste and staining problems.
