     Structure composition
     • Vascular tunic:
     It consists of the iris (pigmented layer), ciliary body, and
     choroid
     • Nervous tunic: the retina
     • Other internal components of the eye include the lens,

         aqueous humor, and vitreous humor.

  Fluid composition
  Aqueous Humor:
  • It is a clear fluid hosted in the anterior and posterior chambers
  • It is composed mainly of water, glucose and amino acids.
  Vitreous Humor:
  • It is a gel-like material occupying the space between the lens and

     the retina.
  • The close proximity of the vitreous to the retina and choroid makes

     it a direct place for drug delivery to the posterior tissues.
